Precautions for Cylinder Installation

【Introduction】Prior to the formal installation of the cylinder, a no‑load trial run must be completed, and assembly work may proceed only after confirming that operation is normal.

The cylinder should be test-run under no-load conditions before installation; only after confirming normal operation may it be installed

Select the mounting method according to the operating conditions, and observe the following during installation:

  1. For eyelet mounting and intermediate pivot pin mounting, the applied force must lie in the same plane.
  2. For flange mounting, the applied force and the support must be on the same axis. The connection between the flange and the support base should ensure that the flange surface bears the load, rather than allowing the fixing screws to bear tensile forces.
  3. The cylinder piston rod must not be subjected to eccentric or lateral loads. For extra-long-stroke cylinders, additional supports or guiding devices should be provided.

Before connecting to the piping, thoroughly clean out any debris inside the pipes to prevent foreign matter from entering the cylinder.

Regularly inspect fasteners and promptly address any loosening of bolts or nuts.

If necessary, adjust the throttle valve to fine-tune the cushioning effect, thereby preventing the piston from colliding with the cylinder head and damaging internal components.
