Cylinder Maintenance and Repair Methods
1. Cylinder operation must comply with relevant safety regulations, and an emergency stop device should be provided in case of malfunction. After processing, compressed air must be exhausted from the cylinder.
2. All components of the cylinder should be inspected regularly for any abnormalities; connections should be checked for looseness, and the moving parts of the piston rod should be lubricated periodically.
3. When a cylinder is not used for an extended period, apply anti-rust oil to all exposed surfaces, and ensure that the inlet and outlet ports are sealed against dust ingress.
4. During reassembly after maintenance, all parts must be thoroughly cleaned; contaminants must not be allowed to enter the cylinder. Special care should be taken to prevent cutting or damaging the sealing rings, and pay attention to the correct installation direction of the movable sealing ring.
5. Establish a maintenance schedule for cylinders on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. When operating, the piston may strike the cylinder head; the cylinder head gasket is a consumable component. If the cushioning ring is severely damaged, the piston will reach the end of its stroke before the cushioning ring can provide adequate buffering, resulting in loss of shock absorption. With prolonged use, seals and lubricants typically need to be replaced.
